Akra 07 Evo's and cats

Sabre for me I love the look of the evo's. I feel like the bike is more responsive but the cans went on after the first service so i was not limited to 6,000 rpm so it is difficult to say did I get a major performance improvement.

The sound is to much in my opinion and do feel when and if I see the plod i will get pulled. Hence the reason to put the cats back in as I think it will just reduce the sound with the baffles out a little.

It is a lot for a pair of cans but I would always be wishing I had the evo's if I had not got them

cavham is correct-the 07 Akra Evo system comes with catalytic converter and an EC Certificate.

If you want the proper race system,then you order the full Evo system without the cat,like wot I did-the whole point of getting the Akras was to save weight and junk the huge cat on the standard system,so it seemed pointless to buy a new system with a bloody cat fitted !!!

the result is impressive:9 kgs less weight and significantly more performance and torque.Includes special mapping. 611.05.099.100 with catalytic converter and EC Certificate for model 2007. 625.05.099.100 without catalytic converter and EC Certificate for model 2005-2006,also usable for 2007 model but without EC Certificate (eg.for racing).

If you find the pipes too loud without the cats (and I assume the dB killers out too) but too quiet with them in, check Gregz' mods thread.

Gregz has "adjusted" the dB killers with a grinder and lump hammer to resonate a bit better
