akra Ti full system

right who can help me with this one. Just got a set of akra slip ons and love them. But typically, even b4 I ve paid off my credit card I'm hankering after the full Ti system and wishing I'd bought that . Now tell me why I cant just buy the full system headers and Y piece? wont the Evo slip-on fit the full system Y piece? studying the pictures they look identical to me but wonder if they could be different diameter. Anyone got a clue? cheers.

SDRK, I'm surprised to hear that you managed to use slipons with the full system pipework as I've been told that the diameters are different. The dirtbikebook site at has two different versions. The slip ons to go on the standard exhaust are:

990 SUPERDUKE 05 - 06 AKPRAPOVIC EVOLUTION SLIP ON END CANS
Mounting only with original headers possible.

And the end cans for the full system are:

990 SUPERDUKE 05 - 07 EVOLUTION SILENCERS
62505099100 without catalytic converter with EC certificate for model 05-06, also usable for 07-08 model but without EC certificate ( e.g. for Racing ).
Mounting only possible in combination with akrapovic headers 61005007200 or 61005007300 .

Also on this topic KTMax suggests that the diameters are different too, as do two of the dealers I have asked this of in the past.

Did you have any trouble mating the two?

Well, I have the evo slip ons, so the dimensions of my so called Akro header, would have to be at least the same dimensions as a standard header, well at least where the pipes join, maybe the overall air volume is different?

Is the 2008 SDR header , the same as the Akro header?
How map Akro maps are there?
Is the Akro "slip on" map, same as the Akro full stystem map?
Does the Akro maps disable the Lambda sensors?
Why does the Power Commander include 02 sensor eliminators, if the akro map does disables them?
Why do people find fitting the 02 sensors on there own improve the sub 4k area?
