Akra Y pipe has crack very narrow crack which runs parallel with the welding. Should i repair it now or it can wait until the season ends?

I would have it welded asap. No need for the crack to get any bigger
Have it welded up and a plate added to the top and bottom of the Y.
mine is a newer type WITH plate and it's still cracked. Why the fupp does these things fail??

I have extended warranty but doubt it'll cover it....will give it a shot though......hopefully sooner rather than later.
I will do it as soon as i will find reliable and not very pricey TIG welder. I think that the reason for this crack is that the pipe and weld metal expand differently.
mine hasnt cracked along a weld. just the pipe.

I blew up my old SD headers too.....that cracked under the engine around the U turn it takes after the rear cylinder. I dont think they are up to the job.
for a crack along the weld, just drop by your stealer and have him make a warranty claim with KTM , mine got replaced by one with the added plates under warranty. It's a known problem for the earlier Y-pieces and they should replace it under warranty.

if it's a full Ti system, whatever you do, don't try to weld it your self. Welding Ti requires a special process.
I think it is not Full titanium. Our stealer is not very helpful so i dont like to waste my time with them.
I ordered akra baffles from our stealer, baffles were wrong size and they refused to replace them...then later i bought KTM vented pants from their catalogue. Pants were very large and the size did not match with the numbers in catalogue. First reaction from them was that we do not change them because KTM europe wont buy them back from us. Then after explaining that according to EU law they should change them finally ordered on size smaller. So from that point my best dealers are ebay.de and ebay.co.uk
Guess I got lucky with my dealer Pipes weren't even bought at his shop
I have a local guy who mainly does car stuff. He does stuff like this pretty cheap and turns it 'round real quick.
My second Y piece didn't have the brace and before I fitted it he put a brace on it for me.
