Hi MOz,

No, I do not cut. Here is what I am running:

I expect there are one or two objectives you have:

Sound Quality
If you want sound quality, it is made by sonic turbulence.
It is only partially Dependant on exit pipe size, and the turbulence it creates. The length of the baffles is not largley relevant for this.

You will notice that I have made 'notches' in the baffles to create turbulence which in turn creates a deeper sound and removes the 'barking' sound.

Power
Regarding power, all sharp edges cause loss, as do baffles (to some extent). The length of the baffles will have a very minor effect on the power. The best thing to do is improve the flow out by rounding edges and other changes to decrease flow degradation.

I have chosen to round my edges as best I can on the inside to improve flow. Also, I have slightly augmented the exhaust hole to change the break point and give slight decelleration of the exhaust. This unfortunately is very little as I do not have the tools to improve the shape.

Another way is to use a reverse cone, like the old Ducati's and other manufacturers used to use (or 2 strokes). This will give a reflection pulse that can help with performance... but that is a topic for later. I do not have my formula's on hand to calculate the effect.

Cheers,
Greg
