akrapovic fittment re mapping

Are there 2 ways of getting around the re-mapping?

1) have the standard ECU remapped by your dealer,

2) Fit a power commander with a downloaded map or custom map

That's about all your options. You could add a tuneboy, but that will fall under option 2 as it is a great deal like a PCIII

Actually, I consider a Tuneboy to be more like option 1 ex. that it's a DIY job vs. the dealer. You plug in a cable and it remaps the stock ECU - there's no extra hardware on the bike.

theres nuthing rong with the Akra mapping , I have ound bikes that rearly neaded a pc111, and some that did not, but put one on eney way parsaneley I dont think the SD needs one the gayns are so minamal over standed ,and with end cans and Akra map ,

and iff the guys are honest on here I am shaw they wood say its a waste of mony for a road bike

iff you whont to go farster ,go one tuoth up on the rear chian wheel ,smooths out first and second jerkynes and gets you to a tone a lot quicker , but will shorten your gearing for those long stinkey wheelys
