Try adding some oil to reduce the air chamber in the forks, that should help the dive.

Check rear static and ride sag, a reduction in ride sag may help the shake. Hopefully the spring rate is in the ballpark for you.

The SD is the ultimate practical V-twin for those that ride with spirit. I was very impressed with the stock SD on the track..................thus the Monster is for sale and my SDR is waiting for me at my friends shop.
