Welcome - I bet you'll love it with the full akra system.

The heat shields come off when the pipes go (decorative stuff above them stays). Not sure about the HP difference. I have the slip ons and like the sound well enough that I would keep them even if the power were down. I think Dr F has a good feel for approximate HP of the various configurations.

I've not heard of a smaller evaporative canister. You can remove the can if you like - lots of threads on here about how to do it.

Just learning never been a computer guy, have read about removal of can pros cons ,does the air filter give a noticable inc in power? (My last bike was a 900 fireblade )lol still have it but ride the Duke instead

I did not notice a real difference but I figured since I was spending to open the back end up a little I might as well let it breath a little more at the front end! Plus I like to mess around with the bike and it gives me something to remove and clean. I've no dyno runs to tell which way is better. Others with cans and filers report improvements, but I've not seen dyno runs comparing cans alone to cans with a filter.

I removed my evap canister and everything associated with it (other than the tank vent hose and the valve) and haven't had any trouble.

You'll have to turn the blade into a track bike!

The blade is all repainted black and pretty for the consignment shop ?I think I started it once last year after getting the Duke would post pics if I can figure out how to compress them

Also we are in north eastern BritishColumbia no bike track for at least a days ride ,however we are turring from Here to Alaska and on the ferry to Prince Rupert and ridding back about a 10 day scootch( this summer)

Unfortunatly, the '07 bikes only seem to make around 108 - 110bhp stock, with a full system it will make about 115bhp if your lucky according to members who've had theirs dyno'd, the '05/'06 bikes make between 120 and 125 bhp. The DNA filter improvements depend on who you talk to. Mine only made .5bhp more with a DNA whereas others are claiming 2-3 bhp gains. One thing that seems to be true though is that the Akrapovic fuel map downloaded by your dealer works a lot better on the '07 bike than the '05/'06 bikes, so much so that a power commander doesn't seem to give as good gains as it does on the earlier bike, if at all, just smoother pick up at low revs.

I wonder if anyone has actual weight diferance on titanium exhaust to stock as I have seen a few differant #s on the net ? 25lbs? 22lbs 13lbs?

It's a 9kg/20lb weight saving with the cans, not sure about the Ti headers, but would guess at a further3kg/7lb saving.

Careful not to drop the stock cans when you remove them - I was unprepared for how heavy they are.

There was mention of better bottom end ,off idle my bike is very clean but when in gear at low revs is I am gonna say it "(pig)"it stalls at the most pequliar times and locked up the rear whell when I had both hands off the bars on decel looking back for the wife ,I was in 2nd gear .This is a practice or habit i formed riding the blade with full gear .If i lets say bag it run the snot out of it ,not even a pop out the exh its fine .if i let off all the way when bike is warm it quits in gear only ...Yes i have ridden yz pe kx xt xr crf450 cr cruisers katanas My dirt time is why i like the feel of the Duke .

Just got off the phone with Ktm dealer where I got my bike and my akra header and silencers are finally in (ordered in May 2007)the steering stabalizer was deleted by KTM ,as was the taller windshield .Both had to be re ordered .Does everyone else have this much trouble getting parts
