I've got the aluminium Leo's 'cause I'm a cheap bugger, and they sound AWESOME!

I think that people pass over poor-ole' aluminium (al-you-min-ee-um for the UK guys) all too quickly just because CF and Ti are exclusive or special in some way. CF does give the option of having something that isn't silver, but I'd go for anodised aluminium before CF any day, especially on a twin. Under heat and cyclic stress (big pressure waves from the v-twin exhaust), CF can crack or become otherwise less structurally sound.
Cubic zirconia also looks and feels like a diamond. But you don' t buy your bride CZ do you? Same thing applies here, my Ti headers look better than the stockers, and also the aluminium Akras because of the discoloring that goes on with Ti. She looks great.

If your SD could talk back she'd call you a cheap fook and never let you ride her again. You'd get the same thing when your wife finds out her ring is CZ.

You don't put hubcaps on a benz? Ever seen a million dollar house with a 100 dollar front door? The cost of the SD and other KTM's puts the bike out of reach for most who are just looking for some 2 wheel fun. KTM along with the Italians make some of the most exclusive bikes in the world.........why not add some exclusive parts?

I'm frugal too though, but I cheap out on my 4 wheel toys. My bike has outrun my car in $$$ spent. I sold my Saab 9-5 Aero to drive a Honda Fit (jazz for you euros) With a Jap bike already in the garage it was the only way to justify buying the SD and spending $2500 on a bike exhaust.
It's all about the bling!!!
