Saw one of these number plate hangers on the back of a new R6 and thought it might look better than the plastic affair on the rear of the SD R seat.
So I scored a new one on ebay for £15. It came with the indicators but I decided to use the standard SD ones.
Stripped it down and cut 'n' shut the number plate hanger from this:
...to this:
Cut and bend the hanger from this:
To this....make a mounting plate, some spacers and powdercoat satin black.
Assemble it...here it is with the old SD R hanger...
....and fit it to the bike.
I like the way it looks 'stock' not just another pressed steel accessory, wheather or not I prefer it to the standard one I'm not sure yet. I'll give it time to grow on me, and If I change my mind then I've not done anything permanent to prevent me from returning it to as it was. We shall see
