Years ago Yoshimura warned against dynoing SuperHawks fitted with their carbon fiber muffler bodies. Later they only offered titanium or stainless steel mufflers for the SH. Carbon fiber is susceptible to UV rays and extreme heat. I think GM is using some very expensive UV protectant ($1500.00 a gallon!) on the exposed carbon fiber on their new ZR1 so sunlight won't discolor or fade the c/f.
