I just tried one out. It is a superbly built helmet, but I find that unless I tilt my head forward like I am looking at the speedo, or tuck way down below my little skidmarx screen, the vents on the top of the helmet whistle like crazy. I don't mean just a little wind noise, I mean it sounds like winter wind howling across the plains. Too bad as it's a great helmet in every other way (other than the visor changing mechanism). I think I'm going back to Shoei or AGV.

#9All of my arais have been rather noisey, still damn fine helmets tho!!!
Just wear ear plugs (yes they take a bit of gettin used 2!) an it doesnt really matter!
Since having a Shark RSR2 i cant see me going back to Arai now tho

#11not a fan of any arai helmets, they are the wrong shape for my head and the side pods have a tendency to break or fall off,i prefer shoei,my shoei x spirit and my xr 1000 lids exellent i have a old agv i wear now and then but it feels cheap and nasty in comparrision, i loved my shark mx lid until my english bull terrier ate it and ripped apart what was left...lol
