Hi guys Hope some one can help I have a 2011 990 superduke R last week the battery gave up completely dead I have just fitted a new battery and now it will not start everything seems great full power turning over great but not starting
Some one please help
Have you done anything else at the same time eg lower the headlamp mask or disconnect the fuel line?
Hi sorry not a good post by me I tried to fit R&G tail tidy with micro LED indicators I have cut the wires and soldered them back in
I could not get them working properly running out of time I put the battery on charge left it overnight as it was getting low and some of the relays were clicking
I tried it again the next day and the battery was completely shot?
I brought a new battery removed the tail tidy and Micro LED indicators put back the original tail piece and original indicators when I turn on the ignition I can hear the fuel pump prime the bike is turning over fine but will not start gutted please help
To answer my own post after much research and the help of my local bike shop I found out that the new battery I ordered of the internet a Motorbatt, direct replacement for my standard Yuasa YTZ 14S they sent me as listed in the manufactures hand book a Motobatt - MBT X9U,this is a miss print in the manufactures hand book its even printed on the box.
Due to issues with this battery not being nowhere near power full enough to start a 990 Motorbatt have since superseded this model with a Motobatt MBTZ 14S this is the correct battery for a 990 superduke.
My bike now starts fine and luckily I managed to get a full refund.
Thanks for your reply No : 47
