Battery dying

Ok guys maybe one of you have an Idea I have not come up with yet.

I keep my 08 SDR plugged in all the time (trickle charger) and the indicator light says I am at full charge. I take the bike out and get maybe 40km out of it and the battery light comes on and so does the FI light. Keep in mind the bike only has 180km on it, my first thought was this is a battery issue but if the battery has enough juice to go for 40km than maybe its an issues with the stator. Has anyone had a problem like this before? or if you have any ideas on what it could be?
Thanks, I just talked to the dealer and they said get the bike to them today. They feel bad that they sold me a bike and I can not ride it for more than 40km at a time so they moved me to the front of the list and said they would take care of it. Riverside Yamaha Suzuki and KTM in StAlbert Alberta is a great dealer
Regulator/rectfier most likely culprit (not providing charge to battery). Either that or your BBC is disconnected.

John
I got it to the dealer, they will be taking care of it tomorow morning. They had 4 white RC8-Rs on the floor, Soooo nice!!!!
I wonder how many SDs there are in Alberta...I'll be home in AB this summer probably (with the SD) ...group ride somewhere...

I got my bike back last night, it was great to get to ride it!! It only took them 3 days to look at it get the parts and have it ready for me, and they filled the tank for me as well!!!! I can not say enough about how great Riverside has been to me over the years, they do that little extra that makes the experience that much better.
