This is really gonna make me sound like a newbie, but here goes.
My '07 (purchased new in April this year) has been resetting the dash when I go to start it from what I presume to be a low battery. It finally refused to start at all on Sunday. This after grappling and finally giving up installing a Bettery tender cable set up on Friday. There is so little room to maneuver inside tha battery compartment, since I couldn't manage to get all the wires out of the way.
Bottom line: Is there any problem if I charge the battery with it still hooked up to the bike? My charger offers 2, 6, and 10 amp charges. and is supposed to turn itself off automatically. Which would be the best amperage to use? Since the bike's only been on the road 6 months, won't KTM cover the battery under warranty?
Any input is appreciated! Thanks!
