Bellypan

Thanks for the info Dr F, I will contact them after the New Year holidays. I didn't fancy fitting the SV650 bellypan because the battery had to be moved but the Skidmarx one will do nicely.

Have spoken to Skidmarx today about the road version of the bellypan. They tell me they are sick of asking for feedback on the racing prototype from Bracken. They don't want to go ahead with production until they know there are no ground clearance issues, but Bracken are dragging their feet. They are now borrowing a SD from another dealer to try and move production on and will let me know in due course how it goes.

O and out of interst i mailed Bracken regarding the gsxr tail end they are/were using on the race bike....... to supply a modded unit for road use would be £295 plus vat


Going a different route now though

Problem with the K5 seat unit Bracken are selling is that it is nothing like the one used on the HM race bike. They keep the rear guard and light unit and fit the seat unit over it. They also have to make some covers to fit over the back of the tank where the SD seat wraps round it. The whole thing looks like a right dogs dinner. What you need is the full K5 seat unit complete with lights and undertray (like the HM race bike) then make a hybrid seat, SD front part, Suzuki rear, to make sure it looks neat. Bet you can't guess what I've been thinking about over christmas. Also thought about the R! seat unit as this already has receses for the under seat exhausts. Hmmmm.
I think the bellypan Bracken are selling IS the Skidmarx one, it's the one they are supposed to be supplying with their race kit anyway (NEC SD Racebike), unless they have found someone else to make them and just not told skidmarx.
