Toby,

I have no doubt without the R&Gs I would have either lost or seriously injured my leg when I crashed last month. Sod the bike - if it gets damaged the insurance will pay up!!! (on the road anyway)

Have another look at this thread.....

I've replaced it all with GB Racing bungs and engine covers, BTW
What are your feelings on GB Racing vs R&G then fella?
The best form of crash protection may be to keep the bike upright and not crash in the first place.

Second best, is to do the decent thing and throw yourself underneath it to keep damage to a minimum.

Beyond that, you pay your money and take your chances. I like NRC reinforced engine cases but not sure if they are available for SD; the new R&G stuff that bolts onto engine cases and lets it slide; stick on Carbon fibre where necessary; bar ends and race plastics. These say: I am a racer and I am willing to push the limit and slide out.

I hate those bungs that look like Rhinoceros dildos. People cover their bikes with them. These say: I am a wobbly ditherer who is likely to drop my motorcycle on my driveway.
