Ok, I'm a idiot.
I took a rock to the chin fairing a while back and it broke off one of the battery box tabs that hold the chin fairing on. I fixed it by gingerly threading a screw through the tab into the battery box and directly into the bottom of my battery. I thought the battery box was a little thicker than that. loks like it ended up draining one of the cells.
Oh well, I've wanted one of those niffty glass matt tech batteries from WestCo for a while now. Gives me a good reason to get one.

The WestCo batteries have way more cranking power than the stock battery. Hasn't been too much of an issue with the Duke( only on rare occasion will the duke not turn-over with gusto.
I had an Aprilia RSV1000 that had a hell of a time turning over consistently due to an under spec'd battery. Didn't know wether it would start half the time and the dash would reset constantly wiping out all of your presets. That engins is essentially the same as the engine we have in the Duke (built by Rotax, 60deg V 75deg being the main difference). After I installed the Westco battery in the Aprilia, it would turn over like a blender set to puree'.
I could't justify replacing the stock Yuasa in the Duke because it was working satisfactorily.
Maybe I subconsiously punctured my stock battery so I could justify the purchase. Don't know.
I'm contacting them this morning. Will post all pertinent info for anyone interested.

Glad someone got a good laugh out of it.
Unfortunately WestCo does not make a replacement for the YTZ14S so all of my dastardly subconcious work was for naught.
