Brake Light Out

08 SD. I put on a mototune LED taillight. The brake light is out, on hand lever and foot lever. I just pulled the connection. There's a red, white, and black wire running from the light. I pulled the red wire (which is on the outside) and the running lights went out. I pulled the white wire (which is in the middle) and nothing happened. I pulled the black wire (which is on the other outside), running lights went out. So it has to be this white wire, right? The bare wire connection to the male plug looks good with the white wire. So I don't know? I haven't pulled the female plug of the white wire, that runs to the bike. Not even sure how to, the female plug takes up the entire space inside of the connector. Can't really get anything in there to push back barbs. Any thoughts? Can't be both brake light switches out..? Im sure this is simple... I'm going to have to go out and buy a voltage tester tomorrow to test the female connector I think.

Hope all that makes sense.
