Brake pad help please.

I've worn out my front brake pads.

Just phoned my dealer and was quoted $46 which I thought was ok.
As it turns out, It's $46 per side.

Is this excessive? Is there an aftermarket pad that is in use?

Any help appreciated.

PS $46 = 22ish GBP
