Do I have to do the break in service at exactly 1000km? I cant stop riding this new bike and the first service appointment isnt until the 20th of this month.

Mine went in at just under 2,000kms. Dealer said that warranty wouldn't cover anything that went wrong between hitting 1000km and having the first service done, if it was directly related to the delay in servicing, but once the first service was done the warranty would kick back in and wouldn't be effected.
I say enjoy it as much as you can, but I'd be nervous taking it over 2,000kms before the first service just in case.....
