I'm in se London. I hear so much good stuff about the ktm center in hemel, but it's quite far for me. Paul, ex-bracken, reckons in moto in Croydon are very good, so i'll give them a try. They sounded professional on the phone anyhow.

I had a quick poke around the wiring I could see, but no success. I doubt it's the main battery wiring as the head and tail lamps go on immediately, but nothing else. I'm thinking it could be the ecu.
hopefully they'll find a reliable fix as i've got a weekend in Wales lined up.

very likely battery, as mentioned before, check connections and reg/rec wires. mine had the simmilar symptoms - random FI light comming on/of, battery light flashing for a second, then going off, sometimes soft 3.2 dat 10.1 error on the dash, other times dashboard going off when starter button pressed...lights still came on though...

(it was broken negative wire from reg/rec to battery)
