Broken Hugger

Link to images of broken Skidmarx hugger swinging arm fixing points attached below - hugger replaced foc but note damage to swinging arm paint finish - new one fitted with rubber washers below as well as above hugger.

Would prefer to refit OE chainguard and hugger but rear shock is not protected enough from road crud, etc - anyone tried to fit a BMW R1200GS or similar plastic rear shock shield to an SD/SDR?
you could always buy a shock protector and put the oe chainguard/hugger back on. another alternative is the extended standard shaped hugger that, i think, twinshack sell. i think its rigga who has one of these.

Shock shields or shock socks - have seen earlier threads re shock socks but they look a bit too 'Nora Batty' for me.........

These might be better - or better still -
- still look like orthopaedic stockings though....................

I'm looking for a more 'engineered' shield solution like that on the R1200GS.
