Bulged water pipe

Hi All,

I've had my 06 SD since July 06. I've done just over 10 000km (6214 miles). I've
noticed that one of the water pipes coming out of the themostat assembly (right of
the bike) looks a bit bulged. See below:



When I squeeze the hose, I can fill fluid under the hose right up to the metal clip.
This doesn't look right to me. I wouldn't mind hearing other peoples comments.

I don't want to belittle your problem there Fred and I am sure the SDNet team will help/reassure you. But as a Ducati owner about to change to a SuperDuke I hope you can appreciate how excited I am about your bulging pipe!

10K of ownership and this happens... I can't wait.

At 10K on the Ducati I already forked out for four rockers and a new clutch...

Bulging pipes therefore are bliss [but I hope you get it sorted soon - I don't want you to suffer unecessarily ]

Fair enough, but being a bit proactive and noticing pottentially bad faults will
prevent break downs in the middle of nowhere. Or are you just being a w**ker ?

i think he is saying that, compared to what happened in 10k to his ducati, if that's all that goes wrong with the ktm he is presumably buying he will happily live with it.

i don't think he is laughing at your question, more not crying at ducatis anymore.

anyway, back to your bulging pipe
i'd probably do the same as you......ask here and see what other more knowledgable ppl think.

I think it's fair enough to post a question on the site if you are concerned about a potential problem.

The reply was a little heavy on the sarcasm, IMO.

mine looks similar, it seems to be a big hose on a small connection?

Can't feel anything when I squeeze it, did I really just type that!
