No this is not a mundane question. My throttle cable snapped once. I have never lubricated it before, and what strange is it snapped around the middle. Now i know that the SD goes 16 km/h in first at iddle speed. Not funny if it happens 200 km from home, fortunatelly it happened only 4 km from my house. Oh btw it was replaced under warranty too.

I use .

It's light enough to flow right through the cable but heavy enough to stick around for a few months. I lube the cables about twice a year with the stuff (always have on every bike I've owned) and never had any problems with sticking or snapped cables.
Excellent. I've got a can at home. Thanks.
