I've read the regular Motion Pro chain breaker, rivet tool can break when removing the master link pin. Something about the extractor pin being a little thin and breaking. Good reviews on the Motion Pro Jumbo though but that is probably overkill.

I went with the RK kit.

I liked it because the side plates are set at a depth that prevents you from crushing your O/X ring when pressing the master link together. I've used it multiple times and it couldn't be easier to use.

If you plan on grinding your chains off then you can save a lot of money and try something like this. Never tried it myself though.

I've seen the sides pressed on with a mole grip wrench, looked fine to me and I already have one in my tool kit.

I've got this one from HG >

You can get different plates depending on chain size, so makesure you get correct ones.

Very easy to use, as the plates control how far the link is pushed in, so you can't get it wrong. Bit expensive but a solid tool.

I've had this about 8 years and can recommend it,very easy to use and it breaks the chain and also rivets it back together.
