yep, out the bottom with both of those hoses is the best place for them to be. UNvented too!

Well Jim, one thing to consider here my man is,,,, doowop had taken his can out and allowed the hoses to stay in the butt, he found out the hard way

that the hoses did indeed need to be vented out the bottom with the rest o vent hoses, cos it melted his alarm !

I would question the capable chemical nature of the bottle ye have used?,.... will it be able to withstand the volatile nature of fuel and not melt,

most plastics will not tolerate exposure to gasoline, it may melt, you could remove the cap and place it in fuel over night and see if it passes the melt-down test,
