Guys,
Have read a few posts but no defiante answers.
Since i had my little accident, ive put bike back to standard, and new gear selctor lever.
Now it clunks really bad when going into 1st or 2nd gear, when i first put it in 1st in clunks, but if i leave clutch in and put in neutral, then straight back into 1st or second without letting out clutch, its fine, untill i release clutch.

have just bled the clutch, still same, tried adjusting the rod below the gear lever.

thats a weird one...Ive never had trouble with this other than a sticky clutch which goes away when warmed up (on the old SD). I'm really not great with gearboxes and stuff.....but my first hunch would be gear selector/claw.....not for the DIYer I suspect.

That said, If you have a PX sorted, who gives a rat's ass?!

More that likely it's just clutch lubrication, if your oil has a bit of age on it, it will loose some viscosity so the film between the plates wont be enough to let them slip when you pull the clutch lever in. So when you click it into gear the gear box jolts the plates appart and lets oil back in between.

That's why it only happens the first time you put it in gear.

I usually pull the clutch, blip the throttle to spin the clutch appart, then put it into gear.

Oil should be ok, i topped up oil couple weeks ago, bike only has 1300 miles on it.

Guys, is this oil ok?
I put a litre of this in, when oil was low,

Mine's clunked ever since I've owned it, only when setting off from a standstill.

Nice and smooth when on the move.

Mine since new clunks down into first.

Have to say mine always cluncks into first. Alway has. Good through the gears though.
