Ok guys, first of all I have searched for this subject but i have discounted all the responses as they don't apply to me.
The clutch is dragging in first and the bike tries to roll slowly forward. I have replaced the slave cylinder with an Oberon one and used a syringe to bleed so i am more than content that there is no air in the system. I have bled the master cylinder too, about 50 times!!! All to no avail. I thought that perhaps the rod was at fault and may have lost some length, but even using an additional spacer it is clear that no matter how much you push the rod in, it never fully disengages the clutch plates. I have checked the torque of the six nuts on the clutch and they are all fine.
What else could be causing this issue? If the clutch were worn out, i would expect it to the opposite of drag, i would expect it to slip! Do i need to take the whole clutch apart? From recollection on my TLR, inspecting the clutch rod involves taking the engine apart doesn't it?
Thanks in advance
Mark
