Clutch fluid?

Hi guys

Was just at my dealer. He told me that I should just use Dot 5.1 brake fluid in my clutch. I did not believe him, and told him I didnt need any, because I had a large portion of that at home.

Is he right? If not, what should I buy instead?

Your dealer is wrong - KTM use mineral oil for the clutch which is different to 5.1 brake fluid.

You have a fair few options for this - but if you search the tech forum you will get the pros/cons.

If you use 5.1 brake fluid it will damage the seals eventually.
