Clutch lever micro switch

Quick question, does any one know what the micro switch just under the clutch lever does. there is a little pin that is connected to the lever that when when the lever is pulled it operates the switch????

I think it cuts the engine if the clutch is out and the sidestand is kicked down when the bike's in gear (safety feature).

It probably has other uses in the ECU too.
