I was quite lucky, mine lasted 3 years! The new 1 is supposed to be an uprated unit with double seals but it looks the exactly the same to me, fingers crossed huh?!?!?!

Bigash, got the Evoluzione Slave Cyl in today. Just need to find some time to fit it and post some pictures. It looks a very nice item.

I just read an interesting thread on it all. One fix is just an o-ring on the slave piston, gone on ok for thousands of km, but others' problem was cracked piston, only slightly, not always obvious.

I had one go on my LC4 work hack, Stripped the slave cylinder discovered mucho wear and scoring. Got a second hand 1000 miler off flebay £15……still going 11000 miles later…Guess its luck of the draw what type of alley is in the vat when casting

Something I picked up yesterday is that - contrary to KTM spec - the clutch mineral fluid should be changed often, like with every oil change. So you get rid of dirt particles asap, to minimise the slave piston scoring and wear, and the o-ring wearing.
The OEM part is crap, obviously. - That pot metal alloy piston.
