Great - thanks for your reply. Wonder if it's a common fault? Anyway that's clear, I'll do what you've done - report it to my dealer now, and at next service they can replace. Not as if it's serious, so it can wait.

From what I've read this is a common problem an all 07 - 09 KTMs (not just SDs. I think from 2010 MY they are better sealed and less prone to cracking like the earlier 'new shape' clocks.

Yeah, pretty common unfortunately. The clocks are crap.

Funny the jap stuff doesn't have problems with this.

Mine have done it since new. It's condensation and I'm not that bothered - it always goes away after a few hours. I'm out of warranty now as well. I also have that little chink of light at the top right hand corner that Jehad Joe was going on about a while ago. It's really annoying and shines brightly in the dark.
