Coolant seeping from hose joints

Hi, first post but have been lurking for awhile, got a 2007 SD with 1500 miles about three weeks ago.

24 hours after a 200 mile ride I noticed coolant seeping from every hose/joint connection on the bike. The leak started at approximately 24 hour from the time I shut off. I rode into the mountains and went from sea level to about 5000 feet and back.

The coolant was full in the overflow tank and to the top of the radiator when I took the cap off. When I took the cap off some pressure escaped, but the cap looked spotless and clean. The bike didn’t overheat or come close during the ride.

Now I’m afraid that I’ve stressed all the hoses due to the pressure built up and have trust issues with the cooling system. Bike already stranded me once, just shut off at redline in 2nd gear and wouldn’t start. It cranked fine, but no start. Got it home and after charging the battery, seems to be working fine now, cooling issue aside.

Any ideas what could have caused this issue?
Thanks

I've had the exact same problem with my SD...

Coolant will drip out from the connections to the thermostat during the "warm up" time, while the thermostat is in the closed position. I think the backpressure from the recirculating coolant was just a little too much for the OEM "pinch" style hose clamps to handle.

Solution? the dealer replaced the OEM clamps with some screw-tightening hose clamps (sorry for my lack of proper terminology.)
