Yeah the tube connects to the spigot:

Its the one on the right which is bent with a clip on.

So presumably clean air gets sucked through into the air filter and into the crankcase breather tube (if its stil stock) and goes to the crankcase? presumably you may get some dirty gasses and filth from the engine going to the crankcase when the throttle bodies open? do I have that right?

But surely the intake of air would stop this?

Unless it goes from crankcase TO airbox?

Someone educate me

the solution i found to the crankcase breather being into the inlet .....was to add a piece of big bore petrol pipe to the end of the existing pipe at the airbox end and route it down to the drive chain as used to be done on british bikes...they however used to lube the chain...the sd however has never diposited anything other than fumes...although a catch can would be required for the track..there is no need for the road .......never been a fan of venting into inlet air...just an easy fix for the emissions..at the expense of smooth running...peace
forgot to say ...i blocked the air box spigot with a pushfit 15mmm stop end.....plastic plumbing type
