Crankcase breather problems

Right motobox fitted the other week and have a separate crankcase breather which does not go into the motobox.

Last week had to change my water pump seal. (reminds me of the eskimo who called the AA to say his skiddoo had broke down and the AA guys said "you have blown a seal mate" sheepishly the eskimo said "no, no thats just frost on my moustache......boom boom).

Anyway back to the point, its pissing out oil everywhere, all over the motobox, down the bike and is geting rediculous, im worried my piston rings might be on way out.....? (just from a google search).

I dont want to route it back into the motobox cos the stuff thats coming out is oil, I dont want that going back into the engine, it surely cant be normal? there seriously is a lot itpools on the floor after a ride out.

Any advice as to what you think is the problem?? fixs? guess I can check compression to see if piston rings are gone.....

Wouldn't she be smoking a lot if the piston rings were going? Or does it mean gas is escaping past rings and blowing oli up from crank through breather and out?

Your bike certainly wasn't suffering from any lack of performance today m8. She was flying Guess you could test the compression on each cylinder to check. I'd be surprised if it was ring on a bike with low mileage.

Yeah Stew had a look on there last night and saved a few pages, think firt step is drop some oil and then go from there will update soon with results.

You mentioned that the oil level is in the middle of the pipe with the engine running, it should be measured with the engine hot but switched off.
3 Litres is about all it takes with new filter any more and it's overfull.

That's probably all that's wrong with it.

I used silkolene which is a red oil when new, has smatterings of red oily mist:

Im thinking of re routing it at the rear of the tank does anyone see any reason why I cant do that?

Well not measured it exactly will drop some and see what happens:

This will be solution if it persists tho:

(but a smaller version)

Good luck hunting your problem

EDIT.

Oil level on paddock stands front and rear cold-too high?

And how do I clean my K&N it has a dirty great oil stain on it?

Don't worry just yet about the stain on the K&N Dan, it takes a lot more for it to stop flowing air.
Use only the K&N cleaning products and oil if you want to clean it, other products can damage the cotton filter material.

Just dropped a bit of oil and started it up with no crankcase breather hose, does not appear to be anything coming out the hose (put some white cotton over the hose) albeit have not taken it for a spin yet, fingers crossed.

EDIT-Put the pipe back where it belongs in the airbox will take it for a ride and see if anything is in there.

Took out about 100ml of oil, now the sight tube is at the lower end of the tube FYI.
