i thought i read in a post that there is a dipstick i can use and eliminate the plastic oil level sight tube. that thing kinda scares me. i want to eliminate it before it becomes a problem.

is the dipstick from a different ktm bike? does anyone know the make and model? part number?

it looks easy enough to eliminate it. just take off the banjo fittings and replace them with regular bolts, with the copper sealing washers of course.

has anyone done this?
Isn't "Cletus" king of the dipsticks

What's your concern?, this it might come off or break.

The issue I see with a dipstick is the absolute pain in the rear it is to get at the oil tank filler cap (by taking off the right hand faring).
My 990 Adventure has a dipstick, rather than a sight glass/tube.

No, not me Toby, before you start.
Who me?
