dirty magnetic plugs!!!

Just did an oil and filter change on my 2006 SD, its got 6000miles on it and I'm setting off round Europe on it on Friday so have done an extra oil change to be safe...turns out there was quite alot of debris on both magnetic plugs in the system (thanks Joe for a great how too!) just wondered if anyone else had any similar problems? A bit worried to be honest !!!

I just did my second oil change (5k miles). there's a bit of fuzz on the magnet. plus a couple bits of metal shavings. one piece is steel. I'm not worry about it though.

My understanding is that is it normal to see sum metal fuzz and a sliver or two after break in.

When I did my first oil change on my 510 Husky dirt bike, I found an unused staple.

Beat that.
