Fitting Evoluzion Billet Slave Cylinder + Pushrod?

Hey guys,

After having my 06 SD's OEM clutch slave cylinder replaced under warranty last year at 7000kms, its finally died again at 15000kms

Limeyduffa and myself attempted a quick fix by replacing the o-rings and bleeding the clutch, however it didn't seem to work and she's leaking fluid again.

Seeing as my bike is out of warranty now, I'm looking at replacing the stuffed slave cylinder with the Evoluzion Billet Slave Cylinder (http://www.ktmtwins.com/990superduke/99030.html) and the 'required for 05/06 model' updated pushrod (http://www.ktmtwins.com/950adventure/60032054400.html)

Now I was just wondering if some of you mechanical genuises could help me out and advise of the procedure for replacing both of these units?

Does the Evoluzion kit come with all the required parts for a full rebuild? (ie: gaskets, o-rings, seals etc?) Also, when the clutch push-rod is removed, is there a chance that the seal for that will get damaged and require replacing? Basically, I want to make sure that when all is finished, it is virtually bulletproof with no chance of leaking again!!!
Are any special tools required as well?

Thanks so much for all your help guys

Ben

P.s. Did a search, and found some useful info, but still want to clear up these questions

I have an oil leak from there as well at the moment. Is that updated push rod compatible with the standard slave cylinder or only the Evoluzion one?

I had a look with a mechanic yesterday and it looks like the push rod is moving perhaps more than it should do which would cause the seal to break.

there is a thread on advrider that shows photos of both old and new, with extensive discussion of the differences. there might be a link here, otherwise you'd have to search. google the site instead of using the forum search. (iow, put site:www.blahblah.com in the search line.) jus' sayin', if you want to see.

if you have an '07 and above you can use your OEM rod but
if you have an '06 you will need to order a new one.

I ordered one with my '07 but sent it back.

Good luck.

BTW, comes with everything you need.
