Hey guys,
After having my 06 SD's OEM clutch slave cylinder replaced under warranty last year at 7000kms, its finally died again at 15000kms
Limeyduffa and myself attempted a quick fix by replacing the o-rings and bleeding the clutch, however it didn't seem to work and she's leaking fluid again.
Seeing as my bike is out of warranty now, I'm looking at replacing the stuffed slave cylinder with the Evoluzion Billet Slave Cylinder (http://www.ktmtwins.com/990superduke/99030.html) and the 'required for 05/06 model' updated pushrod (http://www.ktmtwins.com/950adventure/60032054400.html)
Now I was just wondering if some of you mechanical genuises could help me out and advise of the procedure for replacing both of these units?
Does the Evoluzion kit come with all the required parts for a full rebuild? (ie: gaskets, o-rings, seals etc?) Also, when the clutch push-rod is removed, is there a chance that the seal for that will get damaged and require replacing? Basically, I want to make sure that when all is finished, it is virtually bulletproof with no chance of leaking again!!!
Are any special tools required as well?
Thanks so much for all your help guys
Ben
P.s. Did a search, and found some useful info, but still want to clear up these questions
