Living in London it seems getting nails/screws is a monthly if not weekly occurrence. I use BT 016s and have had them repaired loads of times. As others said as long as its in the main part of the tyre it should be ok. Also as long as you didn't run with it flat as this buggers the wall but riding on a flat on a bike is no easy task.
