FMF APEX Slip-ons??

I was looking to purchase a set of slip-ons for my 2008 SD.. I was pretty set on going with Akras, but FMF has this 20% thing going on here, and I can get a set of CF/Tit for less than $800.00.

My question in.. Does anyone run the FMF Apex? And how do they sound/perform compared to the others out there??

I guess that could be a bad thing, although here in the States noise isnt a big issue yet. However it could become that way running stuff like that..

P.S. Dont you have a tank and schrouds to sale??

I like mine. Can't compare them to anything elce because I haven't had or heard anything elce. They're very light, they run cool and the bike runs fabulous. And I think they're very good looking, after you peel the stickers off, which come off easily.

They are loud. Obnoxious without the cones inserted. Bearable with the cones in. Point them towards the engine. Wear earplugs. You'll be fine.

I haven't taken the time to figure out how to post pics yet, but if you're interested, pm me with your e-mail add. I'll send you one. [/img]

Don't have the FMF Apex but I can comment on having loud pipes. My Leos are true "off road only" cans, no baffles. And they sound incredible but are loud loud loud. It's fine at my tracks because they don't have decible limits. They get a lot of positive comments. But for the streets its starting to suck. I set off car alarms regularly (I think they are paranoid and their alarms are to sensitive but that's just my opinion). But worst is it's hard to be a hooligan because every head within two blocks is turning to see what the noise is about. I use to be able to pull little steatlh wheelies around town but now as soon as the wheel is up heads are turning. Cops are looking for you in situations where they normally wouldn't even know you were there. They sound great but its hard to cut up on the bike with the attention they attract.
