FMF Slip-On Mapping

Hello,

I have a technical question about PCIII.

I have currently FMF slip on and I plan to buy a PCIII to set a new map.

The dealer charge more than $400 for a custom map. Is there anybody have a suggestion to avoid this expensive mapping for adding only 2-3hp?

Can I use this map M925-508 from the power commander website? This is for the Akra Slip on but it should be similar. Anybody have a custom map for the FMF slip on?

My second question is how does it work to remap te bike? Can I do it myself by connecting the PCIII to a computer and send the map or do I need to do something to the Super Duke ECU?

Thank for you help and have a nice day!

That's really expensive. I'm getting a map done on the 27th for $200. At a really respectable tuning shop too. That said, I currently have that dynojet map in the PCIII, bike runs Great with it. I have the Apex's, motobox, and secondary flies removed.

Not sure about tuning the bike yourself question. I leave that to the pros.

I really don't know why people keep buying PCIII or PCV for the SD?!???!

Tuneecu is free and allows you to adjust also the ignition tables and is a diagnostic tool. It can import PC tables so if you had a custom map done before you can just import that. It also avoid installing extra's on the bike that could go wrong or need need installing if your not competent.

Do yourself a favour, get the tuneecu cable and upload a suitable map for your bike that you can download from the how to section. Plenty of members here to point you in the right direction depending on year and country of your SD.

For your can and if it is an 08 model try guy's or james map, for 05-06 try the clincks map.

Did I mention the software is free.....
