LSL have theese, looks really good imo. They are not as glossy as they look on the pic. Order to a Suzuki V-Strom and it will fit!

I got some from Motrax, cant remember the part number but they are matt black, aluminium, cheaper than OEM and better IMHO. The can be adjusted for angle of footpeg too which is nice. I think they are listed as teh fitment for a Tuono but are also the perfect fit for the SD. I'll have a quick look inline for them and will post if I find them.

EDIT: found them, they are for the Aprilia Mille, not the Tuono!

Sorry guys, cant do a pic just yet....but they are grippier than the OEM's. They have no rubber on them, its all in the profile of the aluminium on the surface of the peg where the grip is found. The grip better laterally than forward or back but i've had no problem with my feet slipping unless they are angled SO much that they dont rest on the grippy parts (which only happened once). This can be avoided but angling them to suit your style.

They are matt black and after about a thousand miles I can see the finish is wearing off on some protruding bits but that was expected at that price.

I ordered from my local dealer who does motrax gear cos I get 5% off everything in store.

I also think that they look much more SD than the originals do too!

There are pics on the web but I just cant get any of them on my bike right now...sorry. I will try to get some asap!!

EDIT: found pix here:

Thank-you for your prompt reply and help.

That pic confirms they are what I want. I will order from a local dealer.

Ok John, finally had a chance to mount the pegs (been a little preoccupied with the new dirt bike). They look great. The fit I can say is decent. Two things, one is the retaining spring doesn't have as much tension on it as with the stock pegs but it still does the job. The other is the bracket is slightly more narrow than stock leaving about a 1mm gap allowing a little play. I don't think either of these things are really an issue. The pegs mount up solid and with little effort so I'm happy enough. Couple pics:

Nice one Shade, I fitted the rearset adjusters last week and now my boot doesn't hook into the std pegs properly cause the angle isn't right.

I actually saw some of these in my local shop today but didn't realise the angle was adjustable they were for a quacker anyway and I couldn't remember which bike it was that was a match, I knew it was an Aprillia but didn't know which one, now I know they're adjustable I'll be getting some.

Now if I can just find an aprillia dealer local they might have some so I can whack em on for Sunday.

Just got the levers and pegs installed.

The levers are the bomb! Fit well and look really good. Bend radius is in the perfect location and the range of adjustment is impressive. Highly recommend them!

The pegs on the other hand are not that impressive. They look really good but the stock springs do not function properly, i.e., they do not put enough tension on the peg to hold it in the down position (there were no springs included with the pegs so I had to use the stock ones). The problem is in the amount of (or lack of) material between the peg and the pin hole (where the spring applies pressure to the peg itself). If you look at the stock peg next to the LSL peg (picture in previous post) it's obvious. I got around this by installing a thin washer between the peg mount and peg to try and take up some of the slop between them. Not the ideal solution but will work until I can find some springs that will work.

Wall,

I just read your post again and it seems as if you've got the same issues I've got. If I find some suitable springs I'll let you know.

Sweet. Let us know how it goes. I rode my favorite street "track" pretty hard this morning. No problems, but no scraping either. I really enjoy the extra grip and, even though a little buzzy, the extra feel. (Especially since I am a clumsy lump of poo on the bike and can use all the feedback I can get).

Why don't you just bend the stock spring a little? Works perfect! I've put a small piece from my Tech-Spec Gripsters inside the rearset as well, my feet started shaking above 7k rpm

Ok I have tested my new pegs they are Oberon Touring Pegs supplied by http://ausfr.com.au they were to suit an Aprillia Mille cost of $100.00 AUD plus postage. They aren't as grippy as the KTM pegs which is to be expected .They can be rotated to give a better platform for your foot. Really comfortable and I have used them in the wet with no issues .Work really well with the Motohooligan Heel Guards .Highly recommend both items.
