There also was debate on whether the front wheel needs to be off the ground when this is done. I believe the weight of opinion (based on the service manual) was wheel up.

I've installed bleed valves into mine; you can get from KTM and are about £16.

Saves mucking around with a screw driver as you just push the rubber button which relieves any pressure built up plus you can do it at anytime.
I think that no one knows better how it should be done than WP. I've also heard mechanics being absolutely sure the bike should be on the side stand when bleeding the forks. WP says "The front wheel must be off the ground".
Here's a link to the forks manual, check out page 19.

So, if you wheelie and get one side bled is it OK set the bike down and do the other side when the traffic light turns green? Or should both sides be bled during the same wheelie?

TIA , Kuerbis
You must do them both on the same wheelie, otherwise the forks will be off balanced when you land the first wheelie and have only bled one of them. That's dangerous!

So if I understand correctly the best/correct way to do the fork bleeding is with the wheels on the ground. That's easy !
