.....spat out a broken brake pad today after partially seizing - and it ain't winter.
Broken retaining clip but not sure if that's cause or effect. Do know that caliper pistons are no substitute for brake pads though.
No obvious damage to disc. Cleaned caliper, replaced pads and all good again but may be time to overhaul calipers. Have never been convinced that a bit of bent wire is enough to keep pads in place so will renew again for the third time.
