Front Rotor help.

Dear List,

I managed to bend my left front rotor. Don't ask . It isn't really bent a lot but I can feel it ever so slightly when I brake at low speeds. Do you think that I can bend it back? Does anyone have a used one to sell me? I have an 07 and I am in Los Angeles.

It's likely the carrier is bent.

A pretty routine job to sort out TBH. Someone with a dial gauge and a engineers table and a little experience would make short work of it.

I took a look at the rotor, not good. I don't WANT to get a new one but I will. I see that cyclehutt sells the OEM roters for $332.00 for the set. I have read about Gafer and CARROZZERIA and EBC. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Ken

I am looking here currently. I don't really see a consensus on what people are buying. I am running 99% on the street, canyons. I am sure I will do 1 track day a year but not really more than that.

It seems like a LOT $$$

They are a lot of coin I think too. If you don't have the cash, go with the OEM's. I like the trick bits, so I'd roll with the waves. But its not like I'd notice the difference between the two, or maybe I would? Have only had OEM rotors on my bikes. I usually totally them out before I get the chance to burn out the stock rotors.

For me oem is more than enough.

If you get a good deal on something better go for it, but wouldn't good mental if you have never felt the need for more braking power

if you are going to spend $500+ on rotors you should get braketech rotors.

I have a pair of stock rotors from a 2008 SDR. one of them is slightly warped but the other should be fine. I don't think they are directional so you can put on either side. you can have them for $75. you can pick up in west L.A. or in ventura county.
