Have replaced mine two or three times, always with OE from Redline - wouldn't risk using unknown spec item for these from eBay for the sake of saving few pounds.

Having just replaced head bearings, and about to replace front wheel bearings for the umpteenth time, looking to upgrade to higher quality than OE, starting with the front wheel bearings.

KTM front wheel bearings part number is 0625069068 GR.BALL BEAR.6906 DDU2CG23S6NM - Googling 6906 and DDU2CG23S6NM together and separately throws up a range of bearings from SKF et al and not always the same ones re size, sealed/unsealed, etc - anyone here able to offer informed advice re bearings upgrade?

I cant help re the part numbers but anytime I want to upgrade bearings i usually have to go off the physical dimensions. That way you can pick and choose between manufacturers and get exactly what you want.
I guess you already knew that so sorry for stating the obvious

Would be helpful to know manuf. and specn. of OE items - these are just under £14 in UK.

Top end (as far as I can judge) SKF equivalents are circa £22 and £26, depending on seal type - are these just same specn. as OE but without bulk buy discount or are OE items lower specn/quality?

Have donned the anorak and best quality appears to be SKF 61906 - 2RZ or 2RS - former is more expensive non-contact rubber seal version of rubber sealed latter - anyone know what benefit is of non-contact rubber seal option?

Anorak now off..........
