Fuel consumption problem after pc3 install

Hello everybody

I recently installed akra's headers and PC3 to a 2005 model. Before the recent modifications I only had a pair of akras slipon's and everything stock. Back then the fuel consumption was 10l per 110-120 km. Now with the new additions the consumption turned to 12l per 100 km

Is this difference normal ? The additions didn't add such tremendous hp.

Thanks in advance for any replies. Please help

get it rolling roaded or Dyno'd the fuelling will be all over the place depending on what map is on the PC3 - the over fuelling will result in increased consumption and an over rich burn = less power………

Please please please get it on a dyno - otherwise all the money you just spent on modifications is wasted!

Thanks for replying Gin Reaper.

Unfortunately the official dyno partner is quite expensive here, so I am looking for alternatives.

Do you suggest to check a different map in PC3 ? The map that I currently have is from the official site though.

LOL I find it funny that people have all the information here but go ahead and spend money on a PCIII and then load a totally rubbish map from the dynojet website.
All SDs run pretty rich from stock, by adding more fuel with your PCIII map you archieved more gain for the petrol industry and less horsepower, BP and shell congrats you!
As advised best money spend is dynotime. Alternatively good maps can be found in the how to section under PC and tuneecu maps
Aren't you the same person who kept looking for a magical solution and answer to your faulty battery?

Hello ktmguy

Thanks for your reply. Yes you are right that I do more gain for petrol industry, but the hp is not less at all. Its not such tremendous as I expected but I do have extra power by adding a PC3 map. Today I compared it with the zero map (which is like PC3 bypass). My query was just about fuel consumption.

Why you have to be ironic about the battery issue. I wasn't seeking for a "magical" solution, just trying to figure out if the battery was the actual problem, cause Optimate tester indicate that it was in good condition.

I certainly remember, back in the day, when we all started adding Akro slip-ons and changing maps, fuel consumtion reduced slightly!
