Fuel Map

Hi everybody! Just bought my 07 SD (black) this week!

I am about to install the full Akra exhaust and the PCIII, but my bike has the *advanced* fuel map from the KTM recall, and not the map that comes with the full Akra exhaust . That means that the maps listed on Power Commander website will not work as they were developed in February 2007 before the recall and based on the stock fuel map. The dealer that sold me the bike does not want to re-install the stock map as it would not comply with the recall from KTM.

Is my only option to have a custom map done$$$

Any thoughts?

Frank you don't need the KTM recall map with your setup.

The difference between the 'old' and 'advanced' ecu map is likely to be minimal and is probably more to do with the low rev range in an attempt to sort the snatchy throttle, so I wouldn't worry about using an existing PC3 map. Also, without a dyno setup, your fueling won't be spot on anyway, whichever ecu map you have, so just fit and enjoy then put getting a dyno custom map on your 'to do' list.
