My tank has started leaking from what looks like the fuel sender unit, is there supposed to be a seal under there or is it just some fuel resistant sealer?

Mine had the same problem, tank was distorted under the sender, they replaced the tank. Not a good design in that area, thin plastic being pressed by an o-ring with only 2 bolt locations.

I searched and read and did not find my issue. I have a leak at the left side front lower hose (see pic) fuel tank. Anyone have this. Easy fix or PITA? Thanks for the help. Stac
leak is at the tank where the hose enters the tank

This is the overfill / spill drain. Undo the hose (pulls off) and see what's comming out. Do the elbow up as it is only screwed in. When you spill during filling the tank, rains or you wash the tank this is where it comes out. I clean it every time I lift the tank as you need to pull the hose off anyway.
Might just be not to spill when you fill er up dude....

Thanks Guy
I did some more searching and found this to be common. I'll check for vaccuum issues and remove the inner seal of the gas cap for better breathing. The odd thing for this particular issue it that the leak is from the seal area at the tank and not out the bottom of the hose. I'll pull the hose/fitting out and see if there is crud under the seal.
