Fuel tank leak (pics)

Well, more fun with the 07 SD. Took the right side panel off to top the oil off and fuel started leaking from the tank, right from the threads (see pic)

Good news is even though the bike just went out of warranty, KTM is replacing the tank on them, I'm pretty happy about that. The threads are not stripped and do not move around in the tank, but the fuel comes right out of the bolt hole.

So...as much as I like this bike, I'm still riding the old trusty V-Max with smooth, no snatch low speed throttle. If I could fit the V-Max engine in the SD frame I would be set.

Not sure, but perhaps the threads extend up into the tank and are sealed somehow and the sealing came undone, I don't really know.
